Unlike other forms of whole house heating, a forced air furnace will rapidly heat up your living space to a comfortable level within minutes. This feature works especially well with programmable thermostats in keeping energy bills in check. The thermostat can be set to a much lower temperature during times when the family is not present, then provide a warm and comfortable surge in heat just before the home is occupied once again.
